People who visit Korčula often carry their bicycle with themselves (but to mention, there are bicycle rental shops on the island). Many of those people are quite familiar with the island and the joy of peaceful cycling through the beautiful nature. For the newcomers, scroll through our previous posts and you will get a brief description of cycling in Korčula.

In this post we will how another hidden, interesting part of the island: the far western side. If you read our blog entry about cycling towards the bay of Karbuni, you will easily continue to this new location. So, when you arrive to Karbuni from Gršćica and Prižba, follow the road that goes west; you will soon be in Zaglav, the western cove of Karbuni. Then, climb the road that will lead you to Potirna (there are signs along the road with names of these places), which is a valley covered in plantation of olive trees. From then on, follow the signs that lead to Poplat.

Here, you will find just a few houses, but very interesting nature formations: from narrow cliffs crushing to the open sea to hidden plains surrounded by pine forest. There are plenty of bicycle trails so you can explore every hidden part of this area.
